New Life is Ours

The excitement of a gold medal lasts weeks.
For winners, everyday life changes, and the celebration is well deserved. Whenever anyone trusts in Jesus, they pass from spiritual death into eternal spiritual life. This promise of God becomes a present and eternal possession, that cannot be lost. This results in new desires and motivations, such as loving, worshipping, and serving God. Salvation brings freedom from: guilt, fear of death, and judgment.

We can experience the love and fulfilment that God desires for all people. Even better, we will enjoy life eternally in the presence of God in a beautiful, sinless, and pain-free paradise. In John 11:25-26 Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Just as athletes celebrate following a victory, Jesus said, “… there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10 Even if people around you are not celebrating your faith, know that the angels are having a party for you. It would be a good thing for you to seek out some Christians to celebrate with you. No one would expect a winning team to keep it a secret, nor should you try to. God gave the church as a place where we can celebrate salvation together. A good church believes the Bible from cover to cover. It is a place where you can worship AND learn more
about God.
