CROSS

In the prime of His life and work, Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself by dying on the cross in our place. He is our once-for-all payment for sins! “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live…” 1 Peter 2:24. Three days later, Jesus rose to life as a sign of God’s acceptance of the complete payment for our sins. Known historically as Easter or Resurrection Sunday, Jesus became victorious over sin when He rose from the dead. This massive victory was for us! Amazingly, Jesus offers the gift of resurrection life to us. The Bible is clear, “God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.” 1 Corinthians 6:14.
