DEATH

There is no worse feeling than being disqualified and separated from a desired prize. The essence of death is separation. The first people of the world died spiritually (became separated from God) the moment they broke God’s rule. In Romans 6:23 God declares that breaking His rules brings death. “The wages of (payment for) sin is death”. All people now live with this reality. Hebrews 9:27 “… it is appointed for man to die, and after that comes judgment…” Physical death (when the spirit separates from the body) is not the end of our existence. After death, all will appear before God, who is the just Judge of all peoples. Those who choose not to trust God’s provision for sin and death will be separated from Him. This is God’s righteous judgment for sin. Not a nice situation. The good news is, this is not where God wants to leave us!
