GOD

When we talk about “essential things” to believe we should start long before the ancient games of Greece. It is essential we start with a belief in God. Hebrews reads, “Whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.” The God of the Bible has and always will exist. By simply commanding it into existence, God created the world and everything in it. He gave all people a clear understanding of what is right. God established the rules and is always a fair judge. There must be consequences for breaking the rules, (what the Bible calls sin). The Bible also tells us that God loves us even when we disobey Him. Why do we have rules? The Apostle Peter said God has put everything in place to “bring us to God” 1 Peter 3:18. God is looking for people who seek a relationship with Him.
