Making a difference

Future Olympics are already being prepared. More dependable than future Olympic Games is the fact that God has taken care of the sin problem. People were promised Someone who would conquer sin and death, and throughout history, God gradually revealed who this would be. This Person would provide forgiveness to all who would trust Him. To fulfill God’s promise, Jesus came; not for fame, but to “seek and save the lost.” Luke 19:10

The life of Jesus was marked by many special things, but He lived a normal life. He grew up, had friends, and even learned to suffer. He “in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin” Hebrews 4:15. While the Bible declares He was fully human, it leaves no doubt that He was fully God: “He is the image of the invisible God” Colossians 1:15; “In Him all the fullness of God was well pleased to dwell” Colossians 1:19.

While on earth, Jesus demonstrated this truth through His teaching and miracles. As both God and man in one perfect person, Jesus is unique in that He is the only way to God. In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me”
